PROCEDUREFOR QUALITY ASSURANCE
Identification of incoming Materials:-

1. Incoming inspection :-
(i). When any type of wood, Veneers, Plywood, Metals, etc. arrive at the Factory, watch man informs the Sr. Stores executive about the arrival of material at the gate of our factory.
(ii.) According to the type of material received, the Sr. Store executive checks with instruments/samples of Wood, Veneers, plywood, Metals etc. and take the following action:-
(a) The wood is checked with measuring tape and moisture meter.
(b) If the moisture content, and the sizes of wood are not as per our
requirement, the Sr. Store executive informs the Sr. Manager
Quality Control and the Vice President who takes corrective
action.
(c) Sometimes, this inspection is also carried out at Vendors
premises
2. PROCESSING INSPECTION:-
After completing the incoming inspection, if the material is found good, it is sent to the cutting section. After cutting the material as per required sizes, i.e. for chair/tables etc., the following points are taken care off:-
Direction for material issued are as follows :-
(a). From the cutting section, the material is sent to carpentry section, and delivered to the carpenters.
(b). After planning & filling the material for items like chair, tables etc The carpenters start assembling the items.
(c). After planning & filing the material the sr. manager quality control And foreman inspects and ensures that the plaining & filing is done properly and the surfaces are not left uneven on the finished.
(d). while assembling the material e.g. chairs & tables etc. the Sr. Manager quality control and foremen inspects & ensures that the Carpenters are assembling the items correctly.
3. FINAL INSPECTION OF CARPENTRY:-
When the item is complete in the carpentry section, final inspection is the done to check the sizes of items, stability, and workman ship.
4. PROCESSING INSPECTION OF POLISHING:-
When the item reaches the polishing section processing inspection is done from time to time by the Sr. Manager Quality Control and ensures that the sanding is done systematically and stainers are prepared as requirement.
5. FINAL INSPECTION OF POLISHING:-
When the polishing inspection is complete and item reaches the final stage the final finished for colours, discoloring, uneven surfaces, proper staining and polishing. Only then the item is sent for packing.
6. PROCESSING INSPECTION OF UPHOLSTRY ITEMS :-
When the item in carpentry section items like sofa, fully upholstery chairs, stools, etc. are sent to upholstery section. Leather, rubber of best quality and appropriate Density are used in correct sizes & colors as requirement. The inspection of processing is done from time to time.
7. FINAL INSPECTION OF THE ITEM bEFORE PACKING AND DESPATCH :-
Before packing final inspection of item is carried out by foremen/ Sr. Manager Quality Control lf the item is “OK” in carpentry polishing upholstery and also hard ware’s like handles, buffers, locks etc. of the are as per required standards, only then the items are handed over to Sr. store executive for packing in proper crates and onward dispatch by Road, Rail or Air under instructions of the vice
president.
